Red Sea Diving - PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course can be taken back to back with the PADI Open Water Diver course. Indeed, many students take this route in order to complete both course is during their diving holiday. The Advanced Open Water Diving course usually takes two or three days to complete. The course is designed to widen your skills by introducing you to new activities and is a great confidence booster. The advanced open water diver course is made up of five PADI Adventure Dives followed by knowledge reviews on each dive. You will need a PADI Adventures in Diving Crew Pack which costs around ?75, and if purchased from your training provider should include your certification fee of approximately ?30.

There are two compulsory dives required in the PADI Advanced Open Water course. The first is the under water navigation dive. This builds on your compass reading skills. A deep dive is also mandatory. You will be be required to plan and execute a dive, to maximum depth of approximately 30 m.

You are then free to choose three further dives from the following Adventure Dives:

1. search and recovery
2. underwater naturalist
3. drift dive
4. peak performance buoyancy
5. multilevel dive
6. night dive
7. boat dive
8. digital underwater photography

To undertake the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course you will need to have already achieved the PADI Open Water Diver qualification and be at least 12 years old. You will need to be in good health and complete a medical questionnaire prior to diving.
